Nestled at the base of an evergreen mountain slope one hour west of Calgary in Kananaskis Village, the Delta Lodge in Alberta, Canada, provides charming accommodations in the planned resort village built for the 1988 Winter Olympics. Kananaskis Village now offers all season outdoor and leisure activities in a pristine alpine location, including hiking, golfing, fishing, biking and skiing. Nakiska Ski Area is only a few miles up the mountain. Though the location feels genuinely remote, the village is only 60 miles from Calgary.

The Delta Lodge is styled in the theme of 18th century mountain living, decorated with natural woods, stone and wrought iron fixtures. The hotel's services include portico valet, in room massage, concierge and a complimentary shuttle service to the Nakiska Ski Area. Guests can enjoy the indoor saltwater pool after returning from the ski slopes or golf course. From Calgary International Airport (YYC):
The exit from the Airport Road leads to Barlow Trail.
Continue on Barlow Trail for 10 km to 16th Avenue West
Turn right on 16th W.
Turn right out of town.
16th Avenue turns into the Trans Canada Highway 1.
Once on the Trans Canada Highway,
Continue to Kananaskis Trail/ Kananaskis Country Turnoff, Highway 40.
Exit right and turn left at the stop sign.
From Kananaskis Turnoff to Village,
Continue South on Highway 40 for approximately 25 km.
Turn right, follow Road Access across Bridge to Kananaskis Village sign.
Continue approximately 1 km and turn left.
Follow road to the end, arriving at the Resort.
Approximate driving time is 90 minutes
Approximate distance is 115 km (69 miles)
