The Domaine des Portes de Sologne is a modern hotel and cottage complex with its own 18 hole golf course, set in 352 hectares of natural beauty and situated ten kilometres from Orleans. Modern guestrooms are cheerfully decorated and furnished, while cottages have a more traditional flavour. All accommodation provides amenities such as minibars, refrigerators, direct dial phones, Internet connections, satellite television and bathrooms with hair dryers and toiletries. Cottages include separate kitchens and living rooms.
Golf enthusiasts will appreciate the 18 hole course, which is 6,221 meters long and winds through the Sologne forest. There is also a practice centre with a driving range. Guests can relax in the hotel's spa, which is divided into four areas. In the water fitness area, guests can lounge in the relaxation pool or enjoy swimming and water circuits. The relaxation area has a sauna, hamman, and herbal tea room. Classes and gym equipment are on offer in the fitness area, and guests can unwind with a beauty or massage treatment in the spa area. Also available in the grounds are tennis courts and mountain bike rental. The hotel restaurant serves French cuisine in traditional Sologne surroundings, while the hotel's breakfast room overlooks the golf course. Guests can also relax in the hotel's bar, with its shady patio. The attractions of Orleans, such as St Aignan Church, the Rue Royale, Museum of History and Archeology and Jean of Arc Centre can all be found within nine kilometres. Paris Orly Airport is approximately 110 kilometres and a 60 minute drive from the hotel. At the airport, trains to the centre of Paris are available, where connections to Orleans can be found.
