Location. The Savoy Berlin hotel was built in 1929 along a charming side street located 200 meters from the Kurf�rstendamm in Berlin, Germany. The Tiergarten and the Memorial Church are positioned 500 meters from the hotel.
Hotel Features. This cosmopolitan hotel houses the Weinrot restaurant where plush armchair seating and chandeliered ceilings afford gracious ambience. The restaurant prepares a selection of local and international dishes. Times Bar offers wood paneled ambience, ideal for sampling the bar's drinks while reading a newspaper. Also located on site, Casa del Habano features Cuban cigars. Naturally lit function rooms accommodate up to 450 people, and wireless Internet access is available in public areas of the hotel. The front desk is attended 24 hours a day, where staff offers currency exchange, tour assistance and babysitting referrals. A fitness center contains workout equipment, a sauna and a solarium, and an in house therapist specializes in acupuncture, reflexology and massage. The fitness center also offers a rooftop relaxation garden.
Guestrooms. The Savoy Berlin features 125 guestrooms that include cable television, direct dial telephones and minibars. Rooms are individually decorated and designed with coordinating fabrics and modern furnishings. Private bathrooms contain makeup mirrors and handheld showerheads. Wireless Internet access is available in all accommodations. Pets are accepted. Of note, Greta Garbo stayed at this hotel, and her room still boasts a picture of the Hollywood star.
Expert Tip. Those who have indulged in Berlin's Saturday nightlife may appreciate nothing better than the hotel's extended check out time on Sunday mornings. With advance notice, guests may check out of their room on Sunday mornings at 2 p.m.

From Berlin Tegel Airport:
Approximate distance to the hotel is seven kilometers.
Take the City Autobahn A 100 in the direction of ICC/Messeglande/Funkturm.
Exit at Kurfurstendamm and follow this road in the direction of the zoo until reaching Uhlandstrasse.
Turn left onto Uhlandstrasse.
Turn right onto Hardenbergstrasse.
Turn right onto Fasanenstrasse.
The hotel is located on the right side. Taxis are available outside the terminal. An airport bus is available that connects to the underground system. There is also a jet express airport shuttle serving central Berlin. Bus #109 runs from the airport to the hotel. Passengers should exit at Uhlandstrasse.
Berlin's integrated public BVG transport system is the best way to navigate the city. One ticket allows travel on all trains, trams, buses and ferries.
