The North Star Hotel is set in the very heart of Dublin, Ireland, a great starting point for every type of visitor to the city. Stay here and you're across the road from a main railway station (Connolly Station) and around the corner from the central bus station (Busarus). Better still you're only a short walk away from some of Dublin's historical and cultural highlights, including Trinity College, Temple Bar (Dublin's "Left Bank") and the Custom House.
The North Star was built in the early 19th century, predating the railway station by four decades. If the hotel sounds familiar, maybe you remember it from James Joyce's masterpiece set in Dublin, "Ulysses" in which it is mentioned.

Please note that the hotel will undergo renovation works between August 2007 and March 2008. All work will be carried out between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays, and between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturdays, and will affect the rear of the hotel. The hotel car park will not be available to for guest use for the duration of the work. However, a special discount for guests is available at a nearby car park.
