The modern high rise Hilton Otaru hotel is located on Ishikari Bay on Hokkaido Island. Surrounded by mountains on three sides, it lies five kilometres from Mount Tenguyama and 10 from the Asarigawa hot springs. A train runs from the airport to Otaru. Taxis also run from the airport and a fare to the hotel will cost approximately 12,000 JPY. Otaru has an efficient public transport system.
