Barcel� Club El Castillo is a modern beachside resort complex of low rise bungalows set among pools and palm trees, 12 kilometres from Puerto del Rosario. The 382 one and two storey bungalows have simple modern decor, ceramic floors and light wood furniture. All include balconies or terraces with ocean or garden views, dining and living areas, kitchenettes, refrigerators, satellite television, telephones and safes.
The resort has several dining options for guests to choose from: El Menu serves an international buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner; La Paella is an � la carte restaurant serving Spanish specialties, including Paella and rice dishes, alongside international fare, and La Perlita is a caf� style restaurant offering snacks and light meals. Guests can soak up the sun beside a choice of three outdoor swimming pools, and enjoy drinks in a choice of five bars; while younger guests are kept busy with kids' club activities, in the playground, and in the two separate children's pools. There are a range of organised social and cultural activities, live shows and sports facilities, including two tennis courts, archery and petanque. Guests can also indulge in thalassotherapy treatments at the adjoining spa for a discounted rate, and try their hand at windsurfing, sailing and diving at the beach. Practical amenities include onsite shops and a 24 hour front desk, where staff can provide local information and tour advice. There is an 18 hole golf course just two kilometres from the resort. Fuerteventura International Airport is an approximate driving time of 15 minutes away, a distance of seven kilometres.
