Situated just 200 metres from the beach and 500 metres from the centre of Blanes, Hotel Esplendid is a modern building built around an outdoor swimming pool. The 397 air conditioned guestrooms are decorated in neutral tones, with dark wood furnishings and all have balconies. All are equipped with satellite television, telephones and bathrooms. The half board room rate option incorporates breakfast and dinner.
The hotel restaurant serves a buffet of international cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner and there is also a bar for soft drinks. No alcoholic drinks or pork products are served in the hotel. There is a play area for children, games room and giant TV screen with satellite channels, dance hall and gym for burning off any excesses. With both an outdoor and indoor pool guests can enjoy a swim whatever the weather. Parking on site is available for a fee. From the hotel guests can enjoy excursions to Barcelona and outings to Andorra and the Dali Museum. Five kilometres away in Lloret de Mar is the Grand Palace Music Hall with its popular Flamenco show. The nearest airport is Girona, around 35 kilometres away and Barcelona Airport is 65 kilometres away.

Barcelona airport train station is a short walk from the terminals, via a covered walkway. There are train services from the airport to the city centre every 30 minutes. Trains to Blanes run from Sants station every 30 minutes (connecting with the airport train). Total journey time is around 90 minutes and cost is approximately 2.50. Taxis are available in front of the airport terminals From Barcelona Airport travel towards Girona on the C 32. After approximately one hour take the Costa Brava exit (Blanes, Lloret de Mar, Tossa) and continue to Blanes.
