A resort complex centered around a converted mansion, formerly the home of the Domecq sherry dynasty, next to the prestigious Valderrama golf course and just one kilometre from the beaches of Sotogrande on the Andalucian coast. Among cobbled courtyards and Moorish arcades, the 50 guestrooms and 50 hacienda style suites employ local materials such as stone, terracotta, oak and cork to create a luxurious but distinctively Andalucian style. All rooms have either shady private patios or balconies with views over the pool, golf course or the hills. A private beach club, an outdoor lagoon pool and an on site equestrian centre are among the resort's many amenities. Sailing, sea fishing and other water sports are also available nearby, and the children's program ensures that families are catered for. Valderrama Golf course is just one kilometre from the hotel. The city of Jerez is a 45 kilometre drive away. Gibraltar airport is 11 kilometres from San Roque.
