The Gran Hotel Europe is a modern resort property which exhibits classic Spanish style and is situated on the beach in the peaceful Costa Dorada resort of Comarruga, 40 kilometres from Sitges and 70 kilometres from Barcelona. The 148 guestrooms, over four floors, feature colourful, modern decor, patterned fabrics and functional furnishings. All offer balconies with sea views, air conditioning, minibars, telephones and satellite television. The half board room rate incorporates buffet breakfast and dinner each day.
The hotel's beach bar operates a barbeque, and buffet style international food is also on offer at the hotel's grill restaurant. Guests can cool off with a dip in the outdoor pool, and enjoy al fresco drinks at poolside, at the Alhambra Garden Bar, or at the California Beach Bar. Kids can be kept happy at the mini club, while daily excursions run to destinations like Port Aventura, Tarragona and Barcelona. Many water sports are on offer on the beach which is opposite the hotel, while other leisure pursuits take place at the nearby Activity Park. Business visitors can use conference facilities, and there is secure, underground parking available at a cost of 5 EUR per day for those with cars. The hotel is well placed for exploring the surrounding area; Sant Salvador is just 300 metres away, with the centre of Comarruga 700 metres away. The wildlife at Aquale�n Park is eight kilometres away, and the popular resort of Sitges is 30 kilometres distance. Barcelona El Prat Airport is 60 kilometres from the hotel, an approximate driving time of 45 minutes.

A bus runs every hour (less frequently at weekends) from outside terminal A to the region of the hotel. Alternatively, catch a train from the airport to El Prat and change there for a westbound train towards Sitges. The quiet resort area around the hotel is best explored on foot.
