The Sunrise Monica Beach hotel is a modern complex set in gardens on the beach, located in the resort of Costa Calma, two kilometers from the long white stretch of Sotavento Beach. The 312 guestrooms have a light contemporary decor and simple furnishings. Rooms open out on to terraces or balconies overlooking the sea or gardens. En suite bathrooms are complete with handheld shower/bathtub, hair dryers, bidets and makeup mirrors. All rooms are equipped with cable TV, safes, refrigerators and telephones. There is an all inclusive option available which offers a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, all snacks and local beverages included in the price of the room.
Guests can unwind in the sauna, bask on the sun terraces or choose from the selection of drinks and cocktails at the poolside bar. More active guests can swim a few laps of the pool, take tennis lessons or enjoy a round of miniature golf. The hotel caters for children with its miniclub, playground and two children's pools. Multilingual staff at the 24 hour front desk offer a currency exchange service and can advise on local attractions. In the evening guests can enjoy professional shows and live music. The hotel's dining room offers a wide selection of European cuisine with a buffet style setting and light contemporary surroundings. Guests can sunbathe on the beautiful Sotavento Beach, two kilometers away; explore the towns of La Lajita, 12 kilometers away, and Tarajalejo, 16 kilometers away. Fuerteventura Airport is 55 kilometers from the hotel. Taxis are available outside Arrivals at the airport, and cost approximately 50 euros to the hotel. Alternatively guests can catch the public bus.
