Location. The Barcelo Malaga is located in central Malaga, within 800 metres of the Picasso Museum, the CAC Malaga Contemporary Art Centre and the cathedral. Vialia train station is located next to the hotel.

Hotel Features. Barcelo Malaga is built in a modern style with an avant garde style lobby. The hotel offers a room service menu, parking is available (surcharge) and multilingual staff can assist with currency exchange services.

Barcelo Malaga serves breakfast daily (surcharge). There are two restaurants serving lunch and dinner. The B Lounge serves cocktails and snacks in the ultra modern atmosphere of the lobby.

Expert Tip. Just 1.5 kilometres from the hotel, northeast of the cathedral, is the house of Picasso's birth. There is a room styled with furniture and artefacts belonging to the family, including Picasso's baby clothes. There are also two walls of photographs dedicated to the artist.

From Malaga Airport (AGP):
Distance to Barcelo Malaga is 10 kilometres, approximately 15 minutes' drive.

Getting there. Trains run between the airport train station and central Malaga station every 30 minutes. There is a direct train and bus connection to Vialia railway station in front of Barcelo Malaga. There is a taxi rank outside the airport terminal. Fares are approximately 15 EUR to Barcelo Malaga. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Malaga's main attractions are situated within the city centre and can be easily reached on foot. A cheap and extensive bus service is in operation in the city. Driving is not recommended in the town centres, however, hiring a car is useful for exploring the coast and locations further inland. There is limited transport between the resorts, which are quite far apart.
