The family owned, budget Hostal Planells is set in a central location close to bars, restaurants and nightlife, 250 metres from the sandy beach. The hostel features 28 simply decorated guestrooms with dark wood furniture. All include balconies, safes and private bathrooms. The half board room rate incorporates buffet breakfast and dinner each day.
The front desk is staffed around the clock, and Internet access is available in the lobby for a surcharge. Guests can also rent bicycles and scooters at the hostel to explore the surrounding area, and spend time on the sandy beach, 250 metres away. Palma city centre with its many sights is 12 kilometres from the hostel. Palma de Mallorca Airport is eight kilometres from the property, a 20 minute drive.

Taxis leave from outside Door D on the Arrivals floor (typical fare to hostel 17 EUR). Bus no. 17 leaves the airport every 20 minutes running to Paseo Mallorca in central Palma de Mallorca. There is a bus stop in front of the multi storey car park, outside Door D of the Arrivals floor, and there is a bus stop outside the Check in floor.
