El Porton is a Mediterranean style hilltop apartment complex situated among the heights of Sitio de Calahonda in Mijas Costa, 15 kilometres from Fuengirola. The apartments are approximately two kilometres from the main hotel, Club Marbella/Crown Resorts , where guests check in. This three floor complex features 38 apartments with simple, light decor and provincial pine furnishings. All offer furnished balconies or terraces overlooking garden and pool, and kitchens and utility rooms with washing machines, microwaves and refrigerators. Bathrooms have hair dryers. Check in is made at Club Marbella/Crown Resorts, two kilometres from the complex. It is open 24 hours a day.
Guests can soak up the sun in the garden, and enjoy a refreshing dip in the outdoor swimming pool. There is also complimentary use of all facilities at Club Marbella/Crown Resorts where guests check in, two kilometres from the apartments, which include a fitness centre, squash court, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, bowls, miniclub, cr�che, playground, games room and a bar with regular live entertainment. The beach is three kilometres away with a courtesy bus running from Club Marbella/Crown Resorts, and the nearest golf course is one kilometre away. Calahonda resort centre is four kilometres away, Mijas Aquatic Park is 15 kilometres from the complex, and Selwo Marina and Safari Park are 30 kilometres away. Malaga International Airport is 40 kilometres from the hotel, an approximate driving time of 40 minutes.

Taxis and hire cars are available from the airport; a typical taxi fare to the hotel is approximately 65 EUR. The nearest train station is Fuengirola, 15 kilometres from the hotel. Buses run from Fuengirola to Calahonda and stop at the bottom of the hill, approximately five kilometres from the apartments. Taxis are readily available in the area, although a hire car is recommended for exploring the region.
Driving directions: From the airport turn right onto N340 towards Cadiz, then take E15/N340 for Algeciras/Benalmadena. Approximately 12 kilometres past Fuengirola, on the right past the Miraflores complex, a petrol station, and the El Zoco Shopping Centre, is Sitio de Calahonda. Turn right next to the Bank Bilbao Vizcaya, go up the hill on the Avenida de Espana and continue for 800 metres. At the second crossroads turn right into Monte Paraiso Street where Club Marbella on the right. Check in for El Porton is here.
