The Occidental La Reconquista is landmark building, dating back to the 18th century and once a place to stay for princes of the region. It is located in central Oviedo, just one kilometre from the Archaeological Museum. The hotel's 142 air conditioned guestrooms have classic decor with wall coving, thick pile patterned carpets and wood furnishings with Belle Epoque motifs. All offer satellite television, direct dial phones and minibars. Bathrooms have bidets, telephones and hairdryers.

A rich, classical decor has been preserved in all areas of the hotel, including the Florencia restaurant, which serves regional and international cuisine. A number of cultural attractions are within easy reach of the hotel, such as the Archaeological Museum, which is one kilometre away. Oviedo's pre Romanesque National Monuments are located five kilometres from the hotel, and further afield day trips can be arranged to see the charming fishing village of Covadonga, 40 kilometres away. Asturias/Oviedo Airport is 40 kilometres (25 miles) from the hotel, a 30 minute drive.

Driving Directions

A shuttle bus is available from the airport to the town. Taxis can also be taken and a typical fare will cost approximately 40 EUR. Much of the old part of Oviedo town is pedestrianised and the best way to explore its churches, sculptures, streets and squares is on foot.
