The Barcelo Margaritas Hotel is set in a large all purpose complex by the sandy beaches and tourist town of Playa de Ingles, 60 kilometres south of Las Palmas. The 490 air conditioned guestrooms have modern decor in neutral tones with brightly coloured fabrics. All guestrooms have sofas, balconies or terraces with sea, pool or garden views, cable television, telephones, minibars, safes and bathrooms with hair dryers. The All Inclusive rate option includes breakfast, lunch and dinner with themed buffets twice a week, snacks, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, use of resort facilities, and organised entertainment and sports programmes for children and adults.
Guests can enjoy a refreshing dip in one of the outdoor pools, relax on a sun bed with a drink from the poolside bar, or unwind with a sauna or massage treatment. Kids will enjoy the children's pools and mini club. Those who want to look their best for a night at the bar can visit the hair and beauty salon, and the hotel has a gym and indoor pool for those who like to stay fit. Organised activities and entertainment for adults and children include competitions, professional shows, bingo, dancing, and games. Guests can also enjoy water polo, aerobics, bowls, table tennis, archery, rifle shooting, mini golf, tennis and football. Guests can sample regional dishes and themed international dinner buffets in the restaurant, or enjoy barbecued specialities on the terrace. The hotel also has a nudist roof terrace and several shops. The attractions of Las Palmas including the cathedral and the colonial mansions of La Vegueta can all be found within 60 kilometres. Las Palmas Airport (LPA) is 30 kilometres away with an approximate driving time of 25 minutes.

Taxis are readily available outside the arrivals terminal, alternatively the hotel operates a shuttle service, to be arranged in advance. Bus No. 66 runs to Faro de Maspalomas, which is close to the hotel's vicinity. Bus services run from outside the Arrivals halls of zones A and C.
