Location. Baan Sukhothai Hotel and Spa is located 500 meters from Patong Beach on Phuket Island, Thailand. Ocean Bangla Shopping Center is located across the street from this 10 acre tropical resort.
Hotel Features. This hotel reflects traditional Thai architecture, with steeply sloped roofs, rich wood paneling, and walkways that span lotus ponds and waterways. The on site Balcony Restaurant prepares continental, Thai and Chinese fare. Homemade breads and pastries are baked at The Green House and the Garden Terrace serves breakfasts amid the verdant foliage. The Poolside Bar offers beer, wine, cocktails and light snacks. Event space, high speed Internet access and fax and photocopy services are available on site. Set within the tropical grounds, the Sukhothai Spa offers Thai massage, aroma facials, aroma hot stone and reflexology. Facilities include single and double occupancy massage suites, a reflexology center, a sauna and a steam room. The resort offers an outdoor pool, a children's pool and a fitness center. Informative demonstrations include Thai cooking, Batik, fruit carving and garland weaving.
Guestrooms. This three story resort offers 86 air conditioned guestrooms with private balconies, coffeemakers, in room safes, satellite television and fully stocked minibars. Rooms boast rich wood accents and traditional Thai fabrics. Water House guestrooms offer high speed Internet access for a fee, and feature a separate sitting room.
Expert Tip. Patong Beach offers activities from water sports to international restaurants and nightlife. Not to be missed, a motorbike mechanic displays his artworks constructed of motorcycle parts, resulting in movie characters such as the "Alien" and a seven foot tall "Predator."
