Location.The Hampshire CentreCourt is a modern, leisure hotel, featuring nine tennis courts and set on the outskirts of Basingstoke, three miles from the centre of the city and 21 miles from historic Winchester Cathedral. London Heathrow Airport is 50 miles away, an approximate driving time of 55 minutes.
Hotel Features.Leisure facilities include two heated indoor swimming pools, one for adults only, and extensive exercise studios offering classes, a spinning studio and a fully equipped gym. The steam rooms, sauna, solarium and spa tub provide relaxation, and the spa offers pampering treatments including holistic hot stone treatment, detoxifying algae wraps, full body exfoliation, pedicures and manicures. The Hampshire CentreCourt also has two bars, and afternoon tea is available in the lounge.
The hotel has a choice of a formal dining restaurant and a relaxed informal brasserie. In The Restaurant traditional English dishes are served using fresh British sourced produce, and the dress code is smart/casual with no jeans or trainers. The Brasserie offers a relaxed dining experience and there is a 48 inch plasma screen television screening major sporting events, as well as al fresco dining available on the courtside terrace.
The hotel has four outdoor soft clay tennis courts and five indoor tennis courts. Professional tennis coaching and courses are offered. Fitness classes in the leisure club include aqua aerobics, body combat, pilates, yoga and body balance.
Guestrooms. The Hampshire Centrecourt offers 90 guestrooms located on two floors, all of which have simple, modern decor and include tea and coffee making facilities, televisions, telephones, high speed Internet connections and trouser presses. Bathrooms feature tubs, separate walk in showers, complimentary toiletries and hair dryers.
Expert Tip. The hotel is well placed to explore the historic city of Winchester and some of Hampshire's other attractions. Guests can also go walking on the North Wessex Downs, visit the numerous stately homes, and sail on the Solent.

Driving Directions

Getting there.The Heathrow Express train service to London Paddington Station leaves every 15 minutes. From Paddington Station take the underground Bakerloo Line to London Waterloo. Services to Basingstoke run regularly from London Waterloo, and the station is three miles from the hotel. A taxi from Heathrow should cost approximately 45 GBP to the hotel. Due to the location on the outskirts of town, a car would be the best way of getting around.
Driving directions.From the M4 exit at Junction 11 and follow A33 towards Basingstoke. After four roundabouts, about 10 miles, there is a set of traffic lights. Continue and after a short section of dual carriageway (stay in left lane) take second exit off roundabout, and follow the brown and white hotel sign. Follow this road over one set of traffic lights and a mini roundabout, and the hotel drive is on the left hand side. From the M3 exit at junction six, and follow signs for Basingstoke.
