A striking blue building situated at the entrance to Blackpool Pleasure Beach, the Best Western Big Blue Hotel in Blackpool is a modern hotel overlooking the sea and the amusement park. Train services link Manchester airport with Blackpool via Manchester, and bus services also connect the airport with other towns and cities.

Beginning December 22, 2007, through January 2, 2008, the dining facilities and room service will not be available at this hotel. There will be limited housekeeping for guests not on the Christmas package. Regular food service will resume January 3, 2008.

Driving directions from Manchester airport:
Take the M56 towards Manchester, leave at Junction 3 and take the A5103 to join the M60 ring road (West and North). At junction 15, take the M61 towards Preston, and join the M6 (north) towards Lancaster. At junction 32 take the M55 (signposted Blackpool) and follow it to the end of the motorway at junction 4, when you should keep straight ahead on the A5230, following signs for South Shore. Stay on this road past Blackpool Airport, and continue straight ahead on the B5262, signposted Promenade. At the Starr Gate traffic lights, bear right onto the A584 towards Fleetwood, and the Pleasure Beach is on your right.
