Location. Smartcity Hostels Edinburgh is a 132 room purpose built hostel situated in Edinburgh's historic Old Town, 400 metres from the Royal Mile and the castle and 500 metres from the airport shuttle bus stop. Edinburgh International Airport is 12 kilometres from the hotel with an approximate driving time of 25 minutes.
Hotel Features. The hostel features secure baggage and cycle storage, personal lockers and extra amenities for women travellers. It also has laundry facilities, ATM banking and a complimentary Internet station and wireless connectivity. There is a 24 hour front desk and nearby parking and staff can also organise childcare.
The Smartcity caf�, with its lounge, computer games area and courtyard, is open all day for snacks, coffees, teas and beers.
Guestrooms. The dorms and family rooms are located on six floors and all have simple modern decor and carpeted floors. Guestrooms include individual reading lights, housekeeping, and bathrooms with luxury towels. Hypo allergenic bedding is available.
Expert Tip. As well as being close to Edinburgh's historic sights and nightlife, visitors can also discover more about the national drink at the Scotch Malt Whisky Heritage Centre, 350 metres from the hotel.
