Location. The Banister House Hotel is a three floor property situated in the city of Southampton one mile from the city centre and the West Quay Shopping Centre. Southampton Airport is five miles from the hotel, with an approximate driving time of 15 minutes.
Hotel Features. Guests of the hotel can tuck in to a full English breakfast each morning, ask staff at the front desk to advise on local amenities and attractions, and make use of complimentary parking. Further amenities include an express check in/out service.
Guestrooms. The 22 guestrooms have simple modern decor with light wood furnishings and include tea and coffee making facilities, direct dial phones and televisions.
Expert Tip. The City Art Gallery contains 3,500 works of art spanning six centuries. Blockbusting West End musicals can be enjoyed at The Mayflower, the largest theatre in southern England.

Getting there. The airport is adjacent to Southampton Airport (Parkway) Station and boasts the shortest 'plane to train' connection of any European airport. Taxis are available on the main concourse opposite the arrivals hall and charge approximately 10 GBP into the city. Bus no. 101 is a regular bus service between the airport, Southampton University and the city centre.
Driving directions. From Eastleigh airport, turn left under the railway bridge after exiting the airport. Follow the A335 onto Thomas Lewis Way (signposted to Portwood and City Centre). At the fifth set of lights, turn right signposted Shirley. After two sets of lights, look for the Banister House Hotel on the left just around the bend.
