The Starlux Motel is located in Wildwood, N.J., where a revival of Doo Wop style is taking place. Wildwood has the largest concentration of 1950s and 1960s motels in the world. The style, referred to as Doo Wop after the era's popular music, features space age or tiki themes, lollipop colored neon signs with zig zags and boomerangs and plastic everything. The Starlux Motel is conveniently situated one block from the beach and boardwalk.
